Kelton Caldwell Added to Keiser Baseball Staff

Keiser Baseball Head Coach Brook Fordyce announced the hiring of Kelton Caldwell on Thursday.

Caldwell joins the Seahawks from Point University, where he coached for two seasons as the defense and hitting coach for the Skyhawks.

"I am excited to get going for this great university, and can't wait to join Coach Fordyce and his staff," Cladwell said.

"Great to have Kelton on board," said Fordyce. "He comes to us with a wealth of knowledge that will benefit all of our student athletes. Kelton will be handling the offense for the Seahawks in 2025, and I'm excited to see him get to work."

During his time at Point, Caldwell served as the head coach of the Michigan Monarchs in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. He also spent three seasons as the hitting and defense coach for the Wausau Woodchucks in Northwoods Summer League. Prior to his stint with the Skyhawks, Caldwell was the hitting coach for Salt Lake Community College. In 2018, he nabbed his first head coaching gig at Juan Diego Catholic High School.

As a player, Caldwell was a four-year player at Brigham Young. He was a two-time West Coast Conference First-Team honoree and batted .283 in his career. He would go on to play professional baseball for the Ozark Mountaineers and the River City Rascals before traveling to play in Australia for one season with the Brisbane Bandits in 2016.

Prior to his collegiate career, Caldwell batted .451, hit eight homers, and tallied seven doubles for Jordan High in his senior season. He was named to the Deseret News First Team All-State in 2009 and 2010.
