LEWISTON, Idaho – (rv) Keiser Baseball's 2026 season came to a close Wednesday afternoon at Harris Field, falling to No. 21 Hope International 10-0 in the opening round of the NAIA tournament. The Seahawks finish the year at 36-19, a season that earned them a national stage and a trip to Idaho.

Jake Molloy got the start and worked through the first inning without allowing a run, but Hope International got on the board in the second. Matias Nolasco worked a walk and was replaced by pinch runner Nathan Estrada, who moved to third on an Eric Valdivia single through the right side. Carson Hawkes came on in relief, struck out Spencer Davis, and then Royce Clayton hit a sacrifice fly to left to plate Estrada and make it 1-0.

The Royals added another in the third. Hunter Essang singled through the left side, and Colby Moran followed with a single to right, moving Essang all the way to third. Eddie Cotto then singled through the left side to score Essang and push the lead to 2-0. Hawkes got Nolasco to bunt into a fielder's choice before Valdivia grounded into a double play to end the inning.

Keiser had its chances. In the second, with two outs, Avery Doezie singled to right and Maddox Shaver doubled down the left field line to put two in scoring position — but a Seahawk struck out looking to end the threat. In the sixth, the Seahawks loaded the bases with Jeremy Garcia singling to left, Elian Collado getting hit by a pitch, and Tad Brooks drawing a walk — only to see Williams buckle down and strike out the next two batters to strand them all.

Royce Clayton added a solo home run to left in the fourth to make it 3-0, and Hope International broke the game open in the fifth. Colby Moran singled up the middle, and Eddie Cotto singled to right-center, advancing Moran to third. Hawkes was lifted for Seth Broadwell, and Eddie Cotto stole second, putting runners on second and third. Broadwell walked Matias Nolasco to load the bases, and David Allen came up as a pinch hitter and drew a bases-loaded walk to force in Moran. Spencer Davis then grounded out to score Eddie Cotto for the second run of the inning. With two outs, Royce Clayton singled up the middle to plate two more and push the lead to 7-0.

The Royals tacked on another in the sixth when Isaiah Lane singled to left and moved to third on a Hunter Essang single to second base. Essang stole second, and Colby Moran hit a sacrifice fly to left to score Lane and make it 8-0. Allen Leitner came on with one out and runners on second and third, got Nolasco to ground out, then retired David Allen on a lineout to second to end the inning.

David Allen capped the scoring in the eighth with a two-run triple to right center, scoring Colby Moran and Eddie Cotto to set the final at 10-0.

Jeremy Garcia led the Keiser offense going 2-for-4 from the leadoff spot, and Elian Collado added a double. Maddox Shaver chipped in a double of his own from the seven-hole.
