(rv) Baseball defeated the No. 3 seed Bobcats of St. Thomas 6-5 on day one of the Sun Conference Championship tournament. Tanner Goswick recorded his first win of the season as he shut down the Bobcats in the bottom of the ninth. The Seahawks stay in postseason action and advance to play Webber at 6:00 pm.

  • The Seahawks are now 30-19 in the season. 
  • This is the sixth time in progrm history these two teams have faced each other in the Sun Conference tournament.
  • The Seahawks improve to 28-63-1 all-time against the Bobcats.
  • Keiser now holds a 4-2 lead against St. Thomas in postseason play.
  • St. Thomas took the lead in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run double.
  • Kenny Di Clemente cleared the bases with a single top of the sixth to put the Seahawks on the board and take the lead.
  • Andrew Almendarez blasted a clutch home run in the top of the eighth to regain the lead for the Seahawks.
  • Right-handed pitcher Tanner Goswick claimed his first win of the season, pitching 1.2 innings.

  • Jake Molloy started for the Seahawks; he threw six innings, recording three strikeouts.
  • In relief for Molloy was Chuck Fishbaugh in the bottom of the seventh who recorded one strikeout.
  • Junior Tanner Goswick closed the game for Keiser. Goswick registered 1.2 innings pitched, recording his first win of the season.

  • The Bobcats showcased a strong defense with a double play, but not before Andrew Almendarez sneaked a run across the plate to put the Seahawks on the board and cut the lead.

  • Kenny Di Clemente produced a bases-clearing single and plated two RBIs to take the lead for the Seahawks.
