Coach's Corner

When asked about today's result, Head Coach Daniel Finn had this to say: "Tough loss. I knew it would be a tough task today playing without Katie (Visnevscaia), but it's tough to come out on the losing end of a match like this when you had chances to win. I'll give credit to Tampa. They have a strong team this year and competed well, but this is definitely one we let get away. We came out and played strong at number one and three doubles.  We had the momentum going into singles, but did not do a good job of executing in the important moments to get the necessary points today."

On the difficulty of the schedule throughout the year, "Without a doubt, we played by far the toughest schedule in all of the NAIA. We've taken pride all year in playing the best schedule we could. Day in and day out, we've been tested, and there have been very few weak or easy matches on our schedule. I do believe that we are battle tested, and once we get rested, it will definitely benefit us going into the postseason to have to deal with these tense moments during matches."

On the preparation for the Sun Conference Tournament next week, "You rest, recover, and clear up a few things that we still need to improve upon. For the most part, the work has been done, and these girls are ready for the conference tournament. We just need to recover and make sure that we mentally and strategically prepare for what lies ahead in the conference tournament next week."
