When asked about today's result, Head Coach
Daniel Finn had this to say: "Much better energy today from the team. We had a conversation yesterday and understood what we needed to do better today, and it all started with the intensity and energy we brought. I thought the girls did a great job today doing that, and it reflected in the scores."
On the impact of
Isabella Perez Flores on the program, "This kid has and will continue to leave a lasting legacy with our program. Day in and day out, she's the energy of our team and, furthermore, the anchor year in and year out. If you want to look at what an example of a college tennis player is, I would argue she is just that. It's been a privilege to coach her for the last four years, and I'm still excited for our postseason run and to see how impactful she will be this next month and a half ahead."
On finishing the Sun Conference regular season undefeated and the remainder of the schedule, "it's just a day at a time. We expect to win each match that we play, and it's a mentality that we bring to every single match. It's a big reason we've been able to have success and put together another undefeated season in the Sun Conference. The girls don't get too caught up in those types of things; they are more focused on the match in front of them. Now we will turn our attention to Tampa and start preparing for them. That's been the biggest reason we've had success this season, and we will try to continue doing that."
Keiser will have some time off before facing Division II, No. 16 Tampa on Thursday, April 18. First serve from the Naimoli & Young Tennis Complex in Tampa, Fla. is set for 3:00 p.m.
