When asked about today's result, Head Coach
Daniel Finn had this to say: "I did not like the way we started today. Coming in, we were already missing a key piece in our lineup with Katie out, but starting doubles and carrying over into singles with sloppy slow play really put us behind early on and gave us an uphill battle. I am happy to see some key players step up and make sure that we got the job done today. Florencia stepped up in a big way today and came through, getting a big point at court six. Honestly, this was just another match where the depth of our team bailed us out. Our energies have to be better moving forward."
On capturing the regular season title, "I am obviously proud of the accomplishment. The girls work hard day in and day out and deserve these moments. It's a privilege that it's honestly become something we almost take for granted, and it's something that we do. We need to make sure that we enjoy and relish the moment. Of course, we have much loftier goals and will keep pushing for them, but for these couple seconds right now, we will enjoy it."
On the preparation for tomorrow, "Another opportunity tomorrow. Obviously, we sat down and had a big discussion about the lack of energy and intensity in today's match, so we would expect to start much stronger tomorrow. That is something we will work out to improve upon and get ready to get back after tomorrow and send our senior out the right way at home."
Keiser will face Florida National on Saturday, April 13 at home to close out the Sun Conference schedule. First serve from Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton, Fla. is set for 2:00 p.m.
