Coach's Corner

When asked about today's result, Head Coach Daniel Finn had this to say: "First off, credit to Coach Doug Neagle and Nova. They have a strong team and were prepared for today. They deserved to win. On the other hand, we came out flat and had very low energy today, and it showed in the scores. No disrespect at all to Nova; they are a great team, and in my opinion, one of the best if not the best in Division II, but we are a lot better than the show today, and we have to get back to work in the right way and prepare better. This next stretch of matches doesn't get easier. I have to put the focus where it needs to be and start fighting for what we want if we're going to be successful."

On the weather affecting practice during the week, "Weather is no excuse. If you come to play tennis in South Florida, this is what you expect, and you have to embrace it, enjoy it, and try not to fight it. We will never use the heat as an excuse for our performance."

On playing Nova Southeastern, "Nova has a great team every year. I have a lot of respect for Doug and his program and I hope they win the whole thing this year in Division II. I like to play them because it gives us a great gauge of where we are and today they showed us that we need to do a better job of preparing to get ready for our next matches."
