When asked about today's result, Head Coach
Daniel Finn had this to say: "Tough match to lose. It's not easy to stomach these losses when you compete for 3 hours and come up short. I'm proud of how they fought their way back into the match and gave themselves a chance to win, but this is a hard one to swallow in the end. Ultimately, the doubles are what cost us today. You can't be 4-3 up on two different courts in races to six and let it get away. We knew today would be a fight and the doubles would be crucial, and it was too much for us to come back from today. The bottom line is that we have to play better doubles and be more intense from the start."
On the history of playing Barry, "It's always a dogfight when we play. Honestly, it's these matches that we need that will continue to prepare us for the rest of the year, but it doesn't make it any easier when you let the match get away."
On the performances from the singles winners, "They are the reason we had chances to win in the end. Those three found ways to stay in matches despite not playing their best and gave us a chance today. They showed some heart at the end and competed, so that's a higher note for the day."
The Seahawks will have a short break before starting the most grueling stretch of the schedule, beginning on Sunday with Division II, No. 9 University of Indianapolis. First serve from Orlando, Fla. is set for 10:00 a.m.
