Flag Football Finishes Reinhardt Invitiational with 2-1 Record; Moves to 5-1 on the Year

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 The Keiser flag football team wrapped up the Reinhardt Invitational on Saturday with a pair of victories as the Seahawks went 2-1 over the two-day event. Keiser opened the weekend with a 20-14 loss versus the defending NJCAA National Champion Florida Gateway Timberwolves but regrouped and defeated the Milligan Buffaloes, 35-0, and downed the Ottawa Braves, 33-6.

The Seahawks opened the Reinhardt Invitational, suffering the team's first loss of the season. The Seahawks took a 14-13 lead late as Haylie Young connected with Kennedy Foster on a three-yard touchdown pass with 1:15 left to play. The Timberwolves responded with the go-ahead score, 20-14, as Keiser suffered its first loss of the season.

Keiser rebounded from Friday's loss with a 35-0 shutout of Milligan. In the first meeting all-time between the two teams, Keiser recorded its 13 shutout victory in program history. The Seahawks had touchdown passes from Haylie Young (3), Jazmin Rhoden (2), and Valentina Fanetti (1).

The Seahawks closed out the weekend with a 33-6 win over the Ottawa Braves. After falling behind, 6-0, the Seahawks scored 33 unanswered point for the team's fifth win of the season. The win snapped a three-game losing skid to the Braves with the most lopsided win for the Seahawks in the series history. A 15-yard touchdown pass from Rhoden to Brianna Hernandez-Silva in the second quarter started the scoring for the Seahawks.
