Despite leading all but the final few seconds of the second half, the Keiser men's basketball team fell at Webber Int'l, 85-84, on Saturday. The Warriors used an 8-0 run in the final 1:06 of the game to hand the Seahawks their fourth conference loss of the season.

The Seahawks shot 46.7 percent from the floor and converted 80.0 percent from the free-throw line in the game. Keiser was led by Vincent Miszkiewicz, who posted his 20th double-double of the season, scoring a team-high 22 points and grabbing a game-best 19 rebounds. Calvin Sirmans added 19 points and dished out a team-high eight assists. Also scoring in double figures were Justin Nichelson (18) and Brandon Farmer (15).

First Half

  • An 8-4 run by the Seahawks opened the game, capped off with a 3-pointer by Brandon Farmer (15:05).
  • A Justin Nichelson free throw gave Keiser a 15-9 lead as the Seahawks outscored WIU, 7-3 (12:27).
  • A layup by Nichelson pushed Keiser's lead to eight, 19-11, with 10:34 left in the half.
  • Keiser used a 9-2 run over the next three minutes to take a 12-point lead, 28-16.
  • The Warriors cut the Keiser lead to six following a layup by Zachary O'Callagan with 4:14 on the game clock.
  • After a Vincent Miszkiewicz 3-pointer, Webber used a 6-0 run to make it a four-point Keiser lead with 28 seconds left.
  • Kylon King hit a 3-pointer to close out the half as the Seahawks took a seven-point lead into halftime.

  • Miszkiewicz opened the half with a made layup, 46-37 (19:49). 
  • Calvin Sirmans pushed the Keiser lead to nine, 58-49, with a made layup at the 14:41 mark.
  • A 3-pointer by Farmer extended the lead to 11, 63-52, with 13:42 on the game clock. 
  • WIU cut into the Keiser lead, using an 8-0 run to make it a 63-60 contest.
  • Nichelson made it a 69-61 game following a 3-pointer with 9:42 left in the game.
  • A 5-2 run by the Seahawks made it a 78-70 game with 5:10 remaining.
  • The Warriors pulled with three, 80-77, with 2:28 left to play following a 5-0 run.
  • Keiser responded by scoring four straight points to push its lead back to seven (84-77).
  • After a pair of made free throws by WIU's Eden Holt, Orri Hilmarsson hit a 3-point shot with 41 seconds left to cut the Keiser lead to two, 84-82.
  • Hilmarsson hit another triple with five seconds remaining as WIU took an 85-84 lead.
