The Keiser women's basketball team won their eighth straight at home, downing the Warner Royals, 78-64, on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks, which led for 35:45 in the contest, won their 12th home game of the season and improved to 8-4 in Sun Conference action - one game back from first in the SUN Standings.

Keiser was led by Elliana Schaefer, who posted her fifth 20-point outing of the season, scoring a career-high 26 points. The native of Castalia, Ohio, also led the team in assists (6) and steals (5). Elise Ellison recorded her ninth double-double of the season, scoring 17 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

First Quarter

  • The first quarter opened up with both teams exchanging buckets as the score was tied four times in the first four minutes of action.
  • The Seahawks used a 26-3 run to pull away after 10 minutes of action, 31-14.

Second Quarter
Keiser 44, Warner 29
  • A jumper by Kyra Long with 8:53 left in the half pushed Keiser's lead to 19 (33-14).
  • A 4-0 run by the Royals cut the Seahawks lead to 33-19 with 7:29 on the game clock.
  • After the Seahawks pushed their lead to 18 (39-21), Warner used a 6-0 run to cut the lead to 39-21 with 1:16 remaining in the half.
  • A made jumper by Elliana Schaefer brought the Keiser lead back to 15 as time expired.

Third Quarter
Keiser 67, Warner 46
  • The Seahawks took their biggest lead of the game following a 3-pointer by Schaefer, 54-36 (5:26).
  • Kayla Collins knocked down the final bucket of the quarter as Keiser led, 67-46, heading into the fourth.

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 78, Warner 64
  • Keiser maintain a double-digit lead for the entire fourth quarter en route to the team's 12 home victory of the season.
