No. 21 Keiser men's basketball kicked off their week with another wire-to-wire victory, defeating the Hastings Broncos at home, 82-62. For the second consecutive game, the Seahawks led from start to finish and scored exactly 82 points.
Vincent Miszkiewicz was much more involved in Tuesday's win, scoring 20 points and adding 16 rebounds to lead all players in both categories.
Tyreon Payne and
Calvin Sirmans had 13 points each with Sirmans hitting the seven-assist mark for the seventh time this season.
Quamar Gresham was helpful off the bench for KU, scoring 10 points in 10 minutes of action. The defensive side of the ball was as strong as ever, holding yet another opponent below their scoring average and holding their eighth opponent below 65 points.
It will be a quick turnaround for Keiser as they will hop in a bus for Lakeland tomorrow to play Johnson (TN). Tipoff from the Furnace is set for 4:00 p.m.

With four minutes left,
Calvin Sirmans would pick the pocket of Maverick Binder and go the distance for the easy layup. Keiser would ice the game from there with 11 straight to close out the contest.

Keiser 39, Hastings 26
- Keiser opened the game on an 11-0 run with Loghan Downie scoring eight in the first five minutes
- The teams would trade baskets with Hastings cutting into the lead with a layup just before the second media timeout with KU still leading 19-11
- Jackson Slater and Tyreon Payne offered some momentum off the bench for the Seahawks who jumped ahead 32-19 with 4:03 left in the half
- Quamar Gresham would fire a step-back jumper and a three-pointer to give Keiser a 39-26 lead at the half
Keiser 82, Hastings 62
- Hastings started the second half with a good effort, but back-to-back threes from Calvin Sirmans put Keiser back up by 14 with just under 16 minutes to play
- The Seahawks continued to apply pressure before an alley-oop from Sirmans connected with Miszkiewicz who slammed it home and forced a timeout from the visitors
- Out of the timeout, the Broncos hit back-to-back threes to cut into the lead before Gresham scored five straight to put Keiser up 61-42
- Hastings climbed back into the game with eight straight points over the next three minutes to make it an 11-point game
- However, Payne and Miszkiewicz would keep them at distance, ending the game on a 13-2 run

- Keiser is now 10-1 on the year and has won their last nine games
- The Seahawks move to 6-1 on their home floor with the win
- KU shot the ball above average from the field (48.4%) and from three-point range (36.0%)
- Miszkiewicz was a problem all night for the Broncos as he notched 20 points and 16 rebounds
- Srimans led the team with seven assists while Payne nabbed a team-high three steals
- Gresham is becoming quietly productive off the bench with more than 10 points in two of his last four games
- The Seahawks put a strong effort on the boards on Tuesday with a 47-23 advantage over the Broncos by the end of the game
- For the first time this season, Keiser did not record a block in the game
