How it Happened
  • The Keiser attack was up and running early as a quick one-two pass from Kannady to Rey and back to Kannady resulted in the opening goal for the Seahawks in the fourth minute
  • Five minutes later, Steingerður Snorradóttir whipped in a cross that found Riley at the back post who slotted it by the keeper for a second Keiser goal
  • In the 11th minute, Maund kicked it back to Julia Forslund who sent it through to Maria Vilhena who used a fancy flick to chip the ball over the keeper and make it 3-0
  • Four minutes later Riley, nearly scored again from a good cross by Rey, but the Warner keeper was there for the save
  • With just over 15 minutes gone, Rey received the ball at the top of the box and flicked it between two defenders, getting taken down in the process and drawing a penalty. Rey would step up and score the penalty to make it 4-0 KU
  • Rey nearly doubled her tallies following a beautiful touch from Vilhena, but her shot would sail just high above the crossbar
  • Warner's best chance of the half came in the 22nd minute when Julia Johnson was 1-on-1 with Maude Rouanet, but the keeper would hold her ground and make the kick save and keep the Royals off the board
  • In the 39th minute, Forslund would work the ball wide to Symantha Campos who crossed it into the box, finding Ellen Maund at the back post who headed home the fifth and final goal of the half
  • Nearly 10 minutes into the second half, Johnson pounced on a loose ball in the box and notched a goal for the Royals
  • Keiser would respond with pressure and break through in the 62nd minute with Riley collecting a loose ball and sending it under the diving arms of the keeper to make it 6-1
  • She would not be done there, as five minutes later, Rey would find Riley in the box who would slot home her third goal of the day to put the Seahawks ahead by six
  • In the 74th minute, Linnea Andreason would fire a shot towards net, but it would deflect off of Forslund who was credited with her third goal of the season
  • The final goal of the day would be scored with just 17 seconds left as Karine Ørud ran on to a ball at the edge of the box and slotted it into the upper left corner of the net
