The Keiser women's basketball team returns to action this Saturday at the Student Life Center after an eight-day break. The Seahawks open Sun Conference play at home against St. Thomas, with tip-off set for noon.
The Seahawks enter the weekend with a 3-0 record, having started their season on October 26. On Monday, senior forward Jade Simpson was named the Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The Edgewood, Ky., native recorded her first double-double as a Seahawk in Keiser's win over Trinity Baptist, tallying 20 points and 13 rebounds. She also contributed six blocks and four steals over two games last week.
