The Sun Conference will have to wait another week to crown a Sun Conference Regular Season Champion as No. 2 women's soccer and No. 14 SCAD tied 2-2 in Hardeeville, S.C. on Saturday afternoon. Alicia Rey scored the opener from the edge of the box off the pass from Iðunn Rán Gunnarsdóttir. The Bees tied the game in the 23rd minute on a controversial no-call for a potential foul on Seahawks keeper Maude Rouanet. Keiser managed to jump in front in the second half on a goal from Ramona Kannady in the box, but SCAD would tie the game again in the 61st minute. Both teams would push forward for a third goal but would settle for a draw.

Keiser will have a week before their next and final regular season game of the season at home against Warner on Saturday, November 2. Kickoff from Arrigo-Vecellio Field in West Palm Beach, Fla. is set for 11:00 a.m.

How it Happened
  • Keiser was on the attack early, earning three corners in the first 10 minutes of action
  • In the 11th minute, Iðunn Rán Gunnarsdóttir took a quick free-kick, passing it to Alicia Rey who split two defenders and fired a right-footed shot through the gloves of the SCAD keeper for the first goal of the contest
  • In the 23rd minute, Maude Rouanet would attempt to pass the ball out of her own box when Abigail Siddall came in with a slide tackle against the keeper, taking her out after Rouanet had passed the ball.
  • The ball would stay in the area, falling back to the feet of Siddall who finished the opportunity. The head referee and assistant referee would discuss the play with each other, determining no foul took place and the game was tied
  • SCAD had the final shot on target for the half, but Rouanet would make the stop as the teams were tied going into the break
  • Five minutes into the second half, a corner for the Seahawks would fall to Ramona Kannady in the box who buried the opportunity to put KU ahead 2-1
  • The Bees would have a counter 10 minutes later as Siddall played the ball through to Sydney Churra who finished the 1-on-1 opportunity with a left-footed shot around the keeper
  • Keiser nearly broke the tie in the 70th minute, but Rey's shot would be saved on the line by the SCAD keeper
  • In the 76th minute, SCAD had scored their third goal on a deflection off the crossbar, but the flag was up for offside to negate the goal
  • Three minutes later, Maria Vilhena had a chance in the box, but her shot would sail high
  • Rouanet would make three saves in the final seven minutes of the game as the clock would wind to zero in Hardeeville
