Keiser men's basketball opened the season with a defensive showing, defeating Florida National 78-41 on opening night in West Palm Beach, Fla. The Seahawks got all 14 players into the contest by the end of it and held their opponents to the lowest scoring output since 2017.
Vincent Miszkiewicz led the way for Keiser with 16 points and 11 rebounds, pulling in his 28th career double-double. Just behind him was
Calvin Sirmans who tallied 14 points and led KU with seven assists. As a team, Keiser had 44 defensive rebounds in the contest which is the most in program history. Additionally, the Seahawks brought down 64 total rebounds, the second-most in a game in program history.
Keiser will have a two week break before welcoming No. 19 Baker to West Palm Beach, Fla. on Friday, November 8. Tip-off from the Student Life Center is set for 6:00 PM.
Jackson Kennedy's layup brought Keiser's lead up to 15 points with 2:44 to play in the first half. The Seahawks would push that to 20 by the break, ending the half with a breakaway dunk from
Quamar Gresham.

- Keiser opened the scoring with back-to-back baskets from Jonathan Paul and Tyreon Payne
- After a five-point run for the Conquistadors, Quamar Gresham started a 10-0 run for the Seahawks, capped by a Jackson Kennedy layup with 11:34 to play
- Following an even 7-7 split over the next five minutes, the Seahawks stretched their lead with a 10-4 run to go up by 15 with just under three minutes left in the first
- KU ended the half with three dunks on their final four baskets to take the 39-16 lead into the break
Keiser 78, FNU 41
- Keiser started the second half with a 6-2 run as Loghan Downie logged his sixth point of the night
- Florida National cut into the lead with a 10-5 run heading into a timeout with 13:02 remaining
- With 11:25 to play, Vincent Miszkiewicz recorded his first double-double of the season after grabbing his 10th rebound
- Keiser rode that momentum to a 13-0 run to go up by 35 with 8:27 on the clock
- FNU had a 9-3 response of their own as Gabriel Casillas hit consecutive threes
- The Seahawks ended the game on a 10-2 run as Oxo Schreiber and Albert Dennis put the finishing touches on the contest
