The Keiser women's basketball team fell to the Florida Memorial, 54-53, on Saturday afternoon from the FMU Wellness Center.

Leading by four with 1:34 left in the game, the Seahawks were out-scored 5-0 to close out the game, including two made free throws with one second left in the game, giving the Lions a one-point lead.

Keiser was led by Mimmi Hahne, who scored 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the floor and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. Also scoring in double-figures were Elliana Schaefer (12), Elise Ellison (11), and Kyra Long (10).

With a one-point lead for Keiser and less than five seconds left in the game, a foul called on Mimmi Hahne sent Dasiah Thornton to the line. The FMU guard hit both shots as the Lions took a 54-53 lead with one second left in the contest.

First Quarter
Keiser 17, Florida Memorial 13
  • The Seahawks jumped out to an eight-point lead following a made jumper by Zariah Jenkins, 13-5 (2:11). 
  •  The Lions used an 8-2 run to make it a two-point game, 15-13, with 37 seconds left in the first. 
  •  Jenkins hit the final shot of the quarter as Keiser led by four, 17-13.                   

Second Quarter

Keiser 28, Florida Memorial 26
  • The Seahawks opened the quarter on a 6-2 run to take an eight point lead with 8:14 left in the half.
  • The Lions tied the game at 25-25 following a layup by Diamond Mays with 1:47 on the game clock.
  • A pari of made free throws with 32 second on the game clock closed out the half as the Seahawks led by two.

Third Quarter

Keiser 42, Florida Memorial 38
  • The Lions opened the second half on a 7-0 run to take a 34-28 lead.
  • Mimmi Hahne tied the game at 38-38 following two made free throws with 1:59 on the game clock.
  • The Seahawks used a 5-0 run to end the third up by four, 42-38.

Fourth Quarter

Florida Memorial 54, Keiser 53
  • FMU tied the game a 43-43 with 7:45 left in the game. 
  • A jumper by Hahne gave the Seahawks a 48-45 lead with 5:42 on the game clock.
  • Elise Ellison gave Keiser a 53-49 edge following a made layup (1:34).
  • With a one-point lead for Keiser and less than five seconds left in the game, a foul called on Hahne sent Dasiah Thornton to the line.
  • The FMU guard hit both shots as the Lions took a 54-53 lead with one second left in the contest.
