Keiser men's basketball suffered a tough loss at home on Wednesday night, falling to St. Thomas 100-93 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Vincent Miszkiewicz tallied a new career high with 33 points as he extended his double-double streak to 18 straight games.
Calvin Sirmans grabbed all 22 of his points in the second half to go along with a team-best seven assists. Back in the lineup for the first time since January 10,
Justin Nichelson scored 13 points in a limited number of minutes.
The Seahawks will have another tough test in front of them on Saturday when they travel to No. 16 Florida Memorial. Tipoff from the FMU Wellness Center in Miami Gardens, Fla. is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
A three-pointer from Jordan Hernandez with 1:31 on the clock gave the Bobcats a seven-point lead that they would hold until the end of the game.
STU 38, Keiser 33
- The game started with three consecutive dunks before a Tylar Cerez three put Keiser ahead 6-4.
- The two sides traded the lead seven times over the next five minutes with the Seahawks staying in front 21-19.
- St. Thomas then broke out on an 11-0 run as Josh Taylor scored his 16th point of the matchup to put the Bobcats up 30-21 with 7:53 on the clock.
- Jonathon Paul hit a layup to stop the run before Justin Nichelson scored six for the Seahawks to cut the lead to 35-29 with under four to play in the first.
- The Bobcats would get the final basket of the half, but not before KU cut the lead to five at the break.
Keiser 93, STU 100
- St. Thomas had a quick start to the second half, going on a 10-4 run over the first three minutes.
- Keiser responded with a 12-0 run with Vincent Miszkiewicz and Nichelson scoring five each to put the Seahawks ahead 49-48 with 15:10 remaining.
- Milton Matthews led the Bobcats back into the lead with eight points over the next four minutes as they stretched the lead to 61-55.
- The Seahawks were able to drop the lead to just two with a Cerez three, however the Bobcats would answer with three consecutive treys to take a 77-69 lead with 6:14 on the clock.
- Calvin Sirmans would bring the Seahawks within four with 1:45 left in regulation and the Bobcats leading 89-85.
- With 18 seconds left, Miszkiewicz knocked down two free throws to make it a three-point game with STU leading 96-93.
- Jordan Hernandez would be sent to the line for the Bobcats and sink both attempts as they would go on to win 100-93.

- Keiser drops to 12-6 on the season and 3-3 in the Sun Conference.
- The Seahawks scored a season-high 93 points in the game, topping their previous best of 90 points against Philander Smith.
- Vincent Miszkiewicz led the way with a career-high 33 points as he extended the double-double streak to 18 games with 11 rebounds.
- After going scoreless in the first half, Calvin Sirmans finished with 22 points followed by Justin Nichelson with 13.
- The Seahawks were dominant down low, outscoring the Bobcats in the paint 44-32.
