Keiser men's basketball snapped their two-game skid on Saturday afternoon in Lake Wales, defeating the Warner Royals, 79-69.
Calvin Sirmans led the way with 22 points and was the only player to stay in the game for all 40 minutes.
Vincent Miszkiewicz nearly had another 20-20 game, finishing with 20 points and 19 rebounds on the day.
Kylon King provided a spark off the bench for the Seahawks, scoring 14 points in 19 minutes.
Keiser will be back home on Wednesday to face the St. Thomas Bobcats in West Palm Beach, Fla. Tipoff from the Student Life Center is set for 7:30 p.m.
The Seahawks stormed into the second half with a 20-3 run, including 10 from
Kylon King, as KU opened up a nine-point lead with 11:29 left in the game.
Warner 39, Keiser 31
- Vincent Miszkiewicz found Albert Dennis for the first points of the game before Dennis found Miszkiewicz on the next Keiser possession to force an early timeout from the Royals.
- The break in the action helped Warner as they rattled off a 10-1 run to take back the lead.
- Keiser answered with a 9-3 run of their own capped by a Miszkiewicz three-point play, finishing a layup followed by a free throw.
- The Royals took the lead back on the next possession, stretching it to a 30-22 advantage with 6:57 left in the first.
- Warner ended the period on a 9-7 run before two free throws from Sirmans put the score at 39-31 in favor of the Royals.
Keiser 79, Warner 69
- Keiser came out of the break on a tear, going on a 9-1 run to tie the game off a Kylon King turnaround jumper.
- Tylar Cerez would give the Seahawks the lead 90 seconds later to start an 11-2 run capped by back-to-back threes from King to put KU up 51-42.
- The Royals would inch closer over the next five minutes, but a deep three from Tyler Poindexter brought the Keiser lead to 63-53 with just over six minutes left to play.
- Warner managed to pull back the deficit to seven with 28 seconds left, but it was as close as they would get with the Seahawks closing the game out for a 79-69 win.

- Keiser improves to 12-5 on the year with the win and 4-2 on the road this season.
- In Sun Conference play, KU is now 3-2 as we near the halfway point in the conference season.
- The Seahawks moved to 25-14 all-time against Warner and have now won five of the last nine matchups in the series.
- With 24 points, Sirmans is now cementing his spot as the leading scorer for KU tallying his fourth game in a row leading the team.
- The inevitable Miszkiewicz double-double was marked with 20 points and 19 rebounds today.
