Coach's Corner
"Tough one," said Head Coach Daniel Finn. "Despite some tough circumstances we had our chances to get this one today. Opening the year so quickly and only practicing a couple days you don't really know what to expect. Then, on top of that, not having a full lineup made it an uphill battle, but that said, I'm happy with how the girls battled and gave themselves chances. Bottom line: we just need to be better in the important moments across the board. In doubles, we did a good job of playing simple and executing when we needed to and Violet and Katie did the same in singles. We just couldn't find that fourth point on the other courts today. FGCU has a quality program, but I would like to have this one back. Moving forward, we know what we need to work on and we will start right away to get ready for our next one coming up in a few weeks.."
