Keiser wrestling announced the addition of assistant coach
Giovanny Bonilla on Tuesday. Bonilla joins the Seahawks after spending three years as a wrestler at Grand View University. A three-time NAIA All-American, Bonilla helped his team capture three NAIA National Championships and was a semifinalist in 2020.
"We are excited to have coach Bonilla on staff," said head coach
Nick Soto. "He's bringing in the mentality and experience that we need for us to accomplish our goals as a program."
Prior to his collegiate career, Bonilla wrestled at Osceola High School, winning a high school state championship at 160 pounds. He finished his senior season with an undefeated 60-0 record, taking the championship with an 8-5 score over the previous year's winner.
"I chose to join this team because I believe in what Coach Soto is building here at Keiser," said Bonilla. "There's a group of tough guys in this program that are hungry to earn it, and I'm ready to get to work."
