Keiser women's tennis had a perfect first day of tennis at the ITA Regionals in Boca Raton, Fla. The ladies finished 6-0 in singles play and 2-0 in the first round of doubles action.
Though all of the girls won all of their matches, it was the first Seahawks singles win for
Yeva Kononovich and
Katie Visnevscaia, as the two newcomers won their respective matches in straight sets. The rest of the team cruised through their second-round matchups after receiving first-round byes. Not one Seahawk gave up more than two games in their matches with Visnevscaia and
Florencia Araya earning double-donut victories. In doubles play, both pairings of
Violet Apisah and
Vanja Vidanovic and
Isabella Perez Flores and Kononovich won 8-1.

Head Coach
Daniel Finn said, "Happy with the performances today by the girls. Definitely happy that they did a good job of getting on and off the court and taking care of business and their matches. This tournament is long and grueling, and the last time you can spend on court in the early days of the event, the better. Obviously, we're happy with the performance today, but now we have to get back and rest up and get ready for another long day tomorrow."
