The Seahawks were primed and ready to go in the early morning and raced out to an early 9-1 lead in the set. KU maintained that momentum and held an 11-point lead when a 6-1 Faulkner scoring run put the Eagles back in the game. After that, Faulkner's service and attacking errors gave Keiser the momentum back, and the Seahawks finished the set on top. In set two, the Eagles took an early 14-10 lead, but the Seahawks were unfazed and battled to tie the set at 20 apiece. From there, coach James Rogers' unit closed the set on an impressive 5-0 run that featured three Erika Magin service aces. Set three was a good one for the Seahawks as well, who took an early 12-9 lead before an Eagle attacking error sparked an 11-2 Keiser scoring run. After two Faulkner points, two service aces from Hannah Heide wrapped up the match for KU.
