Keiser volleyball defeated Point, and went down in a tough match against Reinhardt in two games played on the campus of Life University this morning. 


Match Score: Keiser Seahawks 3, Point Skyhawks 0
Set Scores: (25-10, 25-11, 25-6)
Location: Life Upper Gym (Marietta, Ga.)

The Seahawks were able to get their way early, jumping out to a 16-6 lead before a Point timeout. After the break, the Seahawks were dominant again, ending the set on a 9-4 run. In the second set, the Skyhawks were quicker out of the gate and the set was tied 5-5 before a 7-1 run put Keiser out in front. After two points by Point, Keiser closed the set on an impressive 12-2 scoring run. The final set saw KU close the match in decisive fashion, and the Seahawks led 12-3 early on. After two Skyhawk points, a rapid fire 13-1 Keiser scoring run ended the match 3-0. 

• Brooklynn Slater put up 13 kills and two blocks. 
• Frederica Silva tossed three service aces. 
• Keiser hit a season-high .465, while holding Point to -0.63. 
• The Skyhawks committed 22 attacking errors, while Keiser had only four. 
• Sydney Wattles contributed five kills, two blocks, and two service aces.

Keiser had a quick turnaround to take on the Eagles, with the game starting just 50 minutes after Keiser vs. Point had concluded. In the first set, the Seahawks battled evenly with the Eagles. Neither team scored more than three consecutive points, and the set was 24-23 with Reinhardt leading late. Unfortunately for Keiser, the Eagles were able to score the decisive point to end the set. In the second set, Keiser was able to get some separation and went on a 5-0 scoring run to go up 15-8. A 4-0 run gave KU even more room, and the Seahawks eventually took the set 25-14. The third set began with Reinhardt taking a 12-11 lead, before a KU 5-0 run put the Seahawks in front. However, the Eagles rallied, and ended the set on a 12-5 run that put Reinhardt up 2-1. In the final frame, both squads locked up early, and the score remained close as the Seahawks battled to stay in the contest. Unfortunately for KU, the Eagles sparked a 3-0 scoring rally late to take the set 25-22, and the match 3-1. 

• Hannah Heide dished out 31 assists.
• Brooklynn Slater logged 18 kills for the third time this season. 
• Aby Tibesar was credited with three blocks. 
• Sydney Wattles tied a career-high with six service aces. 
• Aby Tibesar logged four blocks, which tied her career high. 
• Erika Magin added 11 digs and recorded three aces, becoming Keiser's all-time service ace leader in the process. 

The Seahawks will wrap up their roadtrip with two games this evening at Tennessee Wesleyan.
