The Keiser flag football team fell just short in the Sun Conference semi-finals this afternoon. Keiser recorded four touchdowns on the day from three different players. The comeback was not enough as the Bobcats scored a game-winning touchdown as time expired. 


First Quarter
Keiser 0, St. Thomas 7
  • In just under the first three minutes, the Bobcats jumped on top and scored a 30-yard touchdown.
  • The extra point was good.
  • The Seahawks could not get on the board in the first quarter and possession was turned over on downs.
Second Quarter
Keiser 13, St. Thomas 13
  • With 3:55 on the clock, the Seahawks cut the Bobcats lead to just one point when Jazmin Rhoden passed to Brenna Ramirez for a touchdown.
  • The extra point was no good.
  • St. Thomas did not stress with 48 seconds on the board as they scored their second touchdown of the day to extend the Bobcats lead.

  • Keiser came back to fight with a pass from Rhoden to Adrianna Rodriguez for a touchdown.

  • The two squads headed to halftime all tied up at 13.

Third Quarter

Keiser 13, St. Thomas 19
  • Both teams fought hard defensively as no one could get on the board until the last three minutes remaining.
  • With 2:55 left in the third, the Bobcats intercepted a Seahawks pass to record the third touchdown for St. Thomas.
Fourth Quarter
Keiser 25 , St. Thomas 31
  • At 6:23, Rhoden connected with Kennedy Foster for a Keiser touchdown to tie the game.
  • Three minutes later, the Bobcats scored a touchdown to regain their lead, 25-19.
  • After multiple timeouts from both squads, the Seahawks scored a touchdown with 13 seconds remaining in the fourth for the tie.
  • The extra point was no good.
  • St. Thomas ultimately took the victory as the Bobcats scored a touchdown as time expired with a final score of 25-31.
