The Keiser flag football team dropped its home opener to Thomas (Ga.), 7-0, in a defensive battle on Saturday afternoon. Despite out-gaining the Night Hawks, 162-151, in total yards, the Seahawks suffered their first loss of the season as TU scored the game's only touchdown in the third quarter.

Marisa Rubino led all Seahawks with six flag pulls to increase her team-leading total this season to 18 (16 solo).

- The tone of the game was set in the first quarter as neither team drove into the opposition territory.
- With a total of three drives in the quarter, Keiser out-gained the Night Hawks 51-10 in total offense.
- Defensively, the Seahawks held TU to just four plays in the quarter while the KU offense held the ball for over nine minutes.

- They put together a six-play, 66-yard drive to produce the only score of the game.Â
- The touchdown came at the 7:56 mark when Alexa Wilson connected with Gisele Jones for 14-yards and the score.
- The extra-point attempt was good, giving TU the 7-0 lead.

- After a Keiser was forced to punt, Thomas (Ga.) took over from its own 23-yard line with 8:51 left to play.
- On the second play of the Night Hawk's drive, Kennedy Foster picked off a Wilson pass at the KU 38 with 7:36 left to play.Â
- Jazmin Rhoden hit Foster for 28 yards to move into the TU redzone (18-yard line).
- However, the Seahawks were unable to find the endzone, turing the ball over on downs with 3:14 on the game clock.
- The Night Hawks milked the clock as Keiser got the ball back with one second left to play.
