No. 18 Kesier women's soccer fell in the Sun Conference Semifinal on Tuesday night 1-0 to No. 6 SCAD. The Bees scored the only goal of the contest in the 67th minute on a free kick by Berglind Baldursdottir.
The Seahawks will turn their attention to Monday and the NAIA Selection Show.
- Keiser had a chance early on as a free kick bounced just too far off Ramona Kannady's foot and out of play in the sixth minute.
- SCAD would get two shots off in the next ten minutes with both being easily saved by Zara Board.
- The Seahawks had the last opportunity of the half, but Angelina Coelho's shot was saved by Katelynn Balsiger seconds before the horn.
- In the 66th minute, Berglind Baldursdottir stepped up for a free kick from more than 30 yards out and drilled it into the back corner of the net for a goal.
- The Bees would fire a couple of shots off in the 77th and 79th minute, but both attempts would sail far wide.
- Keiser's final chance came in the 87th minute with a header from Georgia Little getting saved by Balsiger.
- The Seahawks drop to 12-6-2 on the year with the loss.
- Keiser is now 22-7-3 all-time in the Sun Conference Tournament and 13-4-0 in the Semifinal.
- The Bees picked up their fourth win in the series against KU and their first in postseason play.
- The Seahawks fall to 3-6-1 in ranked matchups this season and 1-2 in games held in Hardeeville, S.C.
- Zara Board earned a career-high six saves in the game.
- For just the second time all season, Keiser was out shot on the night.
