The Keiser women's basketball team closed out the 2023 SUN/SSAC Crossover Challenge with a 68-60 loss to Stillman College on Friday morning. A 9-0 run midway into the fourth quarter pushed Stillman's lead to double-digits with under four minutes to play. The Seahawks chipped away at the Tigers lead but could not overcome the deficit.
The Seahawks had three players score 13 points in
Elise Ellison,
Halle Traylor, and
Elliana Schaefer. Ellison also collected 11 rebounds for her second straight double-double of the season.
The Tigers went on a 9-0 run midway through the fourth quarter to take a 16-point lead. The Seahawks chipped away in the final 3:15 but could not erase the deficit.

Keiser 15, Stillman College 15
- The Seahawks held their largest lead of the quarter following a made jumper by Zariah Jenkins, 8-4 (5:21)
- Neither team had an edge after the first 10 minutes.
Stillman College 36, Keiser 32
- Keiser took its largest lead of the game, 26-21, following a layup by Elise Ellison (4:04).
- The Seahawks held the lead for until a 10-3 run to close out the half gave the Tigers a four-point advantage.
Stillman College 51, Keiser 44
- The Seahawks cut the Tigers' lead to one three times during the third.
- However, back-to-back 3-pointers in the final 1:41 gave Stillman a 51-44 lead heading into the fourth.
Stillman 68, Keiser 60
- The Tigers used a 9-0 run midway through the quarter to push their lead to 16, 64-48 (3:15).
- Keiser went on a 6-0 run, cutting the deficit to nine, 64-55, following a pair of made free throws by Elliana Schaefer (00:55).
- Unable to erase the deficit, Keiser was handed its second straight loss in Montgomery.

- With the loss, Keiser drops to 2-2 on the season.
- Friday was the first meeting between the two schools.
- With the loss, Keiser is now 57-63 all-time versus first-time opponents
- The Seahawks will face five first-time opponents this season.
