Keiser men's basketball used a strong second-half performance from
Justin Nichelson and
Calvin Sirmans on the road to power past the Fort Lauderdale Eagles, 83-70. With 19 points in the second half from Sirmans and 17 from Nichelson, the duo combined for 36 of the 44 points in the second for Keiser.
Vincent Miszkiewicz kept his double-double streak alive with 10 points and 13 rebounds in the game to help the cause.
The Seahawks will have a big home matchup ahead of them when top-25 The Master's University comes to the Student Life Center on Friday, December 1, with tipoff set for 6:00 p.m.
After Fort Lauderdale cut the lead to 60-57,
Justin Nichelson and
Calvin Sirmans combined for nine of the next 11 points to push Keiser out in front with six minutes to play.

- Keiser jumped out to an 11-7 lead in the early minutes before the Eagles scored four straight to tie the game at the 14:16 mark.
- The Seahawks would control the next five minutes, scoring nine uncontested points, capped by a Tyler Poindexter layup.
- The Eagles countered with six of their own before Justin Nichelson splashed a three-pointer to make it 23-17.
- After nearly three scoreless minutes, Keiser went on an 8-5 run with Brandon Farmer hitting a layup before a timeout.
- Fort Lauderdale ended the half on a 9-8 run, hitting a three-pointer before the break.

- The Seahawks opened the second half with a tip-in from Farmer to start a 7-4 run.
- Fort Lauderdale crawled back with a 9-6 run before a Calvin Sirmans jumper made it 54-44 with 12:24 showing.
- The Eagles were able to cut the lead down to three on a Benez Woodard layup with 9:19 on the clock and the score 60-57.
- It would be the closest that UFTL would get as Keiser went on a 9-2 run with four from Sirmans and five from Justin Nichelson.
- Sirmans would go on to score five more of his 19 second-half points in the next three minutes to give the Seahawks a comfortable lead at 78-63.
- The Eagles tried to bring the score back, but KU would deliver from the free throw line to take the 83-70 win.
