Keiser men's basketball fought off a late run from the Philander Smith Panthers, defending their home court in West Palm Beach for the second time this season with a 90-82.
Nirobi Peeler Jr. scored 13 of his 16 points off the bench in the second half to hold off the Panthers for the win.
Vincent Miszkiewicz continues to roll in the double-double department, securing his sixth in six games with 24 points and 16 boards.
The Seahawks will enjoy a few days off for Thanksgiving break before traveling down to North Miami for a rematch with the Fort Lauderdale Eagles on Tuesday, November 28, at 7:00 p.m.
Keiser was ahead by just four points when
Calvin Sirmans found his way to the basket for a layup with 41 seconds left which provided enough insurance to hold off the Panthers down the stretch.

- Justin Nichelson got the scoring started for the Seahawks, kicking off an 11-5 run over the first four minutes.
- Keiser would get eight of their next 12 points from the line as they extended their lead to 23-13 with 11:54 left in the first.
- Philander Smith would get their first positive run of the half, going 4-of-6 from the field and cutting the lead to 33-25.
- The Seahawks countered with a 19-11 run to end the half including a thunderous slam on a Calvin Sirmans to Vincent Miszkiewicz alley-opp to put KU ahead 52-36.

- The Panthers opened the second half with a high-energy offense, scoring eight of the first 10 points.
- The two sides would battle to a 14-14 run over the next seven minutes with Raymond Reese scoring 12 for Philander Smith.
- Neither side would budge in the next three minutes with a Tyler Poindexter three giving a slight pad to the Keiser lead with 6:59 left, 78-66.
- After that, Philander Smith made their way back into the game, cutting the Keiser lead down to just five with three minutes to play.
- Once again, the Panthers clawed the lead down to just four before a Sirmans layup cut the run with 41 seconds left.
- After a missed free throw from Ja'lon Hunter, the Seahawks forced a flagrant foul from Hunter that put Miszkiewicz at the line.
- Miszkiewicz hit one of two from the line and sealed the win on the following possesion.

- Keiser improves to 4-2 with the win and 2-0 on the home court.
- The Seahawks won the inaugural game of the series with Philander Smith.
- Miszkiewicz led all scorers on the night with 24 points and grabbed his season average of 16 rebounds which continues to lead the NAIA.
- Brandon Farmer and Nichelson finished second and third on the night in rebounding with nine and eight respectively.

- Tyler Poindexter scored 16 to help the cause along with Nirobi Peeler Jr. scoring 16 off the bench including 13 second-half points.
