The Keiser women's basketball team dropped its first game of the season, falling to the Mobile (Ala.) Rams, 87-69, on Thursday, November 2. The contest was the first of this year's SUN/SSAC Crossover Challenge as the Seahawks look to take on Stillman College tomorrow.
The Seahawks had three players score in double-figures in
Elise Ellison (11),
Kyra Long (11), and
Mimmi Hahne (15). Ellison also collected 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season.
A 9-0 run by the Rams late in the third quarter put the game out of reach.
Keiser 21, Mobile (Ala.) 14
- Mobile scored the first points of the game with a layup by Erica Jones (9:46).
- Julia Fitzwater tied the game, 2-2, with Keiser's first bucket of the contest (8:08).

- Kyra Long tied the game a 30-all with a 3-pointer late in the quarter.

- Five straight points by UM's Alanna Donaldson pushed the Rams lead to eight, 42-34.

- The Rams maintained a double-digit lead for the remaining 10 minutes of action, handing Keiser its first loss of the season.
