Keiser showed their dominance early at the SUN/SSAC Challenge in Montgomery, Alabama, defeating their former Sun Conference foe Thomas, 87-73. The Seahawks were led by
Vincent Miszkiewicz who tallied his second double-double of the season with 22 points and 16 rebounds.

Justin Nichelson(16) all joined Miszkiewicz with double-digit scoring efforts on the night.
The Seahawks will have a quick turnaround tomorrow, facing Dalton State on day two of the SUN/SSAC Challenge at the Cramton Bowl at Multiplex in Montgomery, Ala. It will be the final game of the night with tipoff slated for 9:00 p.m. EST.
Back-to-back three-pointers followed by three free throws by
Tyler Poindexter put the Seahawks up 29-14 with 10:19 to play in the first half.

- It was all even to start with the Seahawks and Night Hawks battling to an even score before Brandon Farmer knocked down a three-pointer to give KU a 10-6 lead with 16:28 showing.
- Vincent Miszkiewicz got to work early in the night, scoring his 10th point just six and a half minutes into the game as part of a 7-2 Keiser run.
- The Seahawks extended their run thanks to back-to-back three-pointers followed by three free throws by Tyler Poindexter that took just over a minute to produce.
- Thomas began to cut into the lead after a trey from Andre Lightbourne made it 31-19 with just over eight minutes to play.
- KU would bounce back with a 6-2 run going into the second media and in control, 39-21.
- The Seahawks stayed hot out of the break with a 12-3 run capped by a Calvin Sirmans layup to make it 49-24 with 2:33 left in the half.
- Lightbourne would tally the final bucket of the first half, but Keiser would be in the driver's seat, leading 49-27.

- Keiser opened the second half on a 5-3 run going into the first media timeout at the 16:53 mark.
- Lightbourne would go toe-to-toe with the Seahawks, but KU would continue to answer with the score at 64-38 with 14 minutes left.
- Thomas jumped out on an 8-0 run after that, cutting the lead under 20 at the 12:31 mark.
- A Miszkiewicz slam kicked off a 9-0 run for Keiser finished by a Seryee Lewis and-one finish on a tip-in.
- The Night Hawks would continue to crawl back with less than 10 minutes to play as Jailin Lee made it 77-55 with 6:37 left in the contest.
- Both sides would trade baskets as time continued to tick away with KU still leading 81-61 with 4:25 remaining.
- Thomas would give the Seahawks a scare with a late push on a 12-0 run, but Keiser would deliver from the free throw line and close out their first road game of the season, 87-73.
