The Keiser volleyball team earned its 20th win of the season with a 3-2 victory at Webber Int'l on Saturday.
The win marked the 10th straight for the Seahawks over the Warriors as Keiser remains in third place in the Sun Conference Standings.
Brooklynn Slater recorded a match-high 22 kills with 19 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. Setter Hannah Heide registered 59 assists and had 11 digs for her 13th double-double of 2023. As a team, Keiser tallied 83 digs in the match (third-most this season).

SET 1 (25-23 WIU)
- Keiser jumped out to a 6-3 lead capped off with a pair of kills by Brooklynn Slater.
- The Warriors battled back, tying the game on an attack error by Frederica Silva.
- Slater notched three more kills during a 5-0 run by the Seahawks, giving Keiser a 14-11 lead.
- A kill by Sophia Trout gave Keiser a 17-15 edge.
- WIU rattled off seven straight points to take a 22-17 lead.
- The Seahawks battled back, pulling within one, 24-23.
- However, a kill by WIU's Bailey Sikkema gave the Warriors the first set, 25-23.
SET 2 (25-20 KU)
- Kills by Sydney Wattles, Aby Tibesar, and Slater opened the set to give the Seahawks a 3-1 advantage.
- The lead jumped back-and-forth before Keiser registered three straight points, 15-11.
- A kill by Silva made it a 17-14 score.
- Three consecutive points gave the Seahawks a 20-16 advantage.
- Keiser outscored the Warriors, 5-1, to close out the set, 25-20.
SET 3 (25-15 KU)
- After trailing early, 2-1, KU posted six consecutive points to take a 7-2 lead.
- Kills by Slater and Josephine Mulligan made the score 9-3.
- A 4-0 run pushed the Keiser lead to 13-4.
- The Seahawks maintained a healthy lead for the remainder of the set, winning Set Three, 25-15, and taking a 2-1 lead.
SET 4 (25-13 WIU)
- Webber responded, jumping out to a 6-3 lead.
- Slater ended the Webber run with a kill to make it 6-4.
- However, a 3-0 run bolstered WIU's lead to 9-4.
- A kill by Wattles, cut the Warrior lead to 10-7.
- WIU extended their lead to seven, 14-7, with four straight points.
- The Warriors would go on to take the fourth set, 25-13.
SET 5 (15-13 KU)
- Set Five went back-and-forth with the lead changing hands multiple times.
- At 8-8, WIU scored two straight points to take a 10-8 lead.
- A kill by Hannah Heide and a bad set by the Warriors' Paysee Crow, tied the set a 10-10.
- The lead changed hands again as each squad took turns with a one-point advantage.
- Trailing 13-12, the Seahawks tied the set with a kill by Mulligan.
- KU took the lead, 14-13, following a kill by Tibesar, setting up match point.
- Mulligan sealed the victory for Keiser with a kill, 15-13.

- Posting 59 assists versus the Warriors on Saturday, Hannah Heide has now registered 944 assists this season, leading the Sun Conference and ranking third in the NAIA.
- Her 944 assists this season at the fifth most all-time in a single season at Keiser.
- Heide has now tallied 3,713 career assists - 262 shy of becoming the school's all-time leader (Brooklyn VandeHei - 3,975).
- Heide also recorded 11 digs for her 13th double-double of the season.
- Brooklynn Slater led the match with 22 kills to extend her NAIA lead in points and kills (508.0/447).
- Slater's 447 kills are the fourth-most in a season at Keiser all-time.
- With 22 kills and 19 digs, Slater posted her eighth double-double of the year
- Erika Magin chipped in 24 digs to increase her career total to 1,982 - school's all-time leader.
- Sydney Wattles hit a blistering .400 in the match, producing 16 kills on 30 attempts.
- With the win, the Seahawks improve to 14-24 all-time versus the Warriors.
- The win marks the 10th straight for the Seahawks over the Warriors.
- KU improves the series history at WIU to 8-14.
- The win moves Keiser to 20-8 overall this season and 4-3 in Sun Conference action.
- The 20-win season is the sixth in program history (fourth under Head Coach James Rogers.

The Seahawks return home for a pair of non-conference matches on Wednesday, October 11. Keiser will first face UMFK at 11:00 AM followed by Florida National at 3:00 PM
