The Keiser volleyball team picked up two wins in non-conference action on Wednesday as the Seahawks hosted UMFK and Florida National at the Student Life Center.
The Seahawks swept the Bengals, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-21) to start the day and took a three-set victory (25-4, 25-15, 25-12) from the Florida National Conquistadors to wrap up Wednesday's tri-match.
During the sweep of both programs, Keiser recorded 78 kills with a hitting percentage of .316.

- Keiser tied the set at 11-11 with a kill by Frederica Silva.
- The Seahawks took a 16-14 lead following a kill by Brooklynn Slater.
- Three consecutive errors (service, attack, and ball handling)Â by the Bengals pushed the KU lead to 20-16.
- Sydney Wattles gave the Seahawks a 21-18Â lead with a kill.

- With the score tied, 8-8, Wattles recorded four straight kills to give Keiser a 12-8 lead.
- A kill by Slater extended Keiser's lead to 16-11.
- Wattles recorded another kill to make it 19-13 in favor of the Seahawks.
- A block assist by Wattles and Slater pushed the Keiser lead to 21-14.
- Josephine Mulligan (kill) gave Keiser the serve on set point, 24-17.

- A pair of service aces by Silva and a kill by Wattles gave Keiser an early 3-0 lead.
- Slater registered a service ace to give the Seahawks a 7-3 advantage.
- KU extended its lead, 12-7, with a kill by Wattles and a service ace by Silva.
- The Bengals scored five consecutive points to tie the set, 12-12.
- A kill by Silva pushed Keiser's advantage to 19-17.
- The Bengals rattled off three straight points to take a 20-19 lead.
- Another kill by Silva drew the score even, 20-20.

- Out of the timeout, Keiser pushed its lead to 13-0 following a kill by Abygale Lester.
- Two more service aces by Silva along with a kill by Slater gave Keiser a 16-0 lead.
- Out of another FNU timeout, Wattles gave Keiser an 18-0 advantage with a kill.
- The Conquistadors snapped the Seahawks' point streak with a kill by Brianna Grabowski, 18-1.
- The Seahawks closed out the set, 25-4, after a kill by Aby Tibesar and an FNU attack error by Leila Alves.Â

- After FNU took a 1-0 lead to start the set, Wattles tied the score, 1-1, with the kill.
- Silva added a point to give KU a 2-1 lead with a kill.
- Four straight points by the Seahawks pushed KU's lead to 6-2.
- FNU's Elis Cordova-Millet cut the Keiser lead to 7-5 with a kill.
- Kills by Heide and Slater gave the Seahawks a three-point lead (11-8).
- The Seahawks continued their run with a kill by Slater, 13-8.
- Keiser's run moved to 6-0, resulting in an FNU timeout (15-8).
- Back-to-back kills by Slater pushed the KU lead to 19-10.
- Slater again produced the kill to give the Seahawks a 23-14 edge.
- Tibesar (a kill) gave Keiser the 25-15 set win and a 2-0 advantage in the match.
SET 3 (25-12, KU)
- The Seahawks went on a 5-1 run to start the set capped off by with a kill by Slater.
- A pair of kills by Mandee Weisenburger gave Keiser a 12-4 advantage.
- A service ace by Lester and a kill by Wattles made it 15-5 Keiser, resulting in a timeout.
- KU pushed the lead to 17-5 out of the timeout.
- Weisenburger recorded another kill to give KU an 18-6 edge.
- A block assist by Tibesar and Slater moved the lead to 21-8.
- A kill by Londyn Tanguay gave Keiser an 11-point advantage (22-11).
- Tanguay posted the kill to make it 24-12.
- The Seahawks took the set and the match, 25-12, after an attack error by Gabriela Gonzalez.

- Posting 63 assists during the two victories on Wednesday, Hannah Heide has now registered 1,007Â assists this season, leading the Sun Conference and ranking second in the NAIA.Â
- Her 1,007 assists this season are the fifth most all-time in a single season at Keiser.
- Heide has now tallied 3,776 career assists - 199 shy of becoming the school's all-time leader (Brooklyn VandeHei - 3,975).
- Heide also recorded her 14th double-double of the season during Keiser's 3-0 win over UMFK (30 assists, 11 digs).
- Brooklynn Slater had 24 kills during today's tri-match to extend her NAIA lead in points and kills (534.5/470).
- Slater's 470 kills are the fourth-most in a season at Keiser all-time.
- Erika Magin chipped in 19 digs on Wednesday to increase her career total to 2,001 - school's all-time leader.
- Magin became the first player in Keiser volleyball history to reach the 2000-dig plateau.
- Sydney Wattles recorded 19 kills on the day, hitting .471.
- Frederica Silva posted 10 services aces on the day, increasing her season total to 29.
- The Seahawks finished the day with an attack percentage of .316.
- Keiser moves to 22-8 on the year.
- Wednesday marked the first meeting between Keiser and UMFK.
- With the win over the Bengals, the Seahawks improve to 6-1 versus "first-time opponents" this season.
- The win versus Florida National improved Keiser to 10-4 all-time versus the Conquistadors.
- The win over the Conquistadors marks the third straight for the Seahawks versus FNU as KU has won six of the last seven meetings.

The Seahawks travel to Temple Terrace, Florida, to face both the UMFK Bengals and the Florida College Falcons on Thursday, October 12. The Seahawks and Bengals will square off at 3:00 PM followed by a 5:00 PM contest with the Falcons.
