The Keiser Seahawks have been selected to finish third in the Sun Conference heading into the 2023 season, the league announced on Tuesday. The 2023-24 Sun Conference Preseason Men's Coaches' Poll was voted on by the conference's eight head coaches.
Top of the League
- St. Thomas topped the poll with 46 total points, including five first-place votes.
- Southeastern came in second with 39 points and one first-place vote.
- Coming in third were the Seahawks who received 36 points including two first-place votes.
- The Warriors of Webber International rounded out the top 4 with Florida Memorial and Warner tied for fifth at 24 points.
A Look Back at Last Season
- KU ended the 2022-23 season with a 16-13 record
- The Seahawks entered last year's SUN Tournament as the fourth seed, falling in the opening round to Webber in Babson Park, 59-75.
- Keiser garnered two First-Team All-Sun Conference honorees in Core'von Lott and Justin Tucker.
- Brandon Farmer is the highest-scoring returner for the Seahawks, averaging 12.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last season.
- Keiser will look new this season as nine new members join the team including two Division I transfers (Vincent Miszkiewicz and Seryee Lewis), two Developmental Men's Basketball call-ups (Noah Salcedo and Jonathon Paul), and the 2023 Palm Beach County Player of the Year (Calvin Sirmans) joining the squad.
