How it Happened


First Half
Keiser 39, FNU 28
  • Keiser began the game with a 7-0 scoring run with Core'von Lott getting the first five points of the game.
  • FNU responded with an 11-5 run over the next five minutes to bring the score within one point as Matthew Robinson scored five of the Conquistadors first points.
  • The Seahawks had a quick answer with a 10-2 run to take the 22-13 lead with 9:17 on the clock.
  • The two sides would trade baskets over the next four minutes before a Justin Tucker jumper put KU ahead 31-19 with 4:33 to play in the first.
  • FNU would take the last run of the half by a score of 9-8 but Core'von Lott would hit the final shot sending the Seahawks into the break with a 39-28 advantage.
  • Keiser was showing its strength by halftime, outrebounding the Conquistadors 24-9 in the first 20 minutes of action.

Second Half
Keiser 81, FNU 66
  • The Seahawks started the second half strong with Brandon Younger slamming home a fastbreak opportunity to put KU up 15.
  • FNU countered with baskets of their own but Keiser would have an answer each time resulting in a 6-6 run to the 16 minute mark.
  • The next four minutes would yield similar results as Brandon Farmer would hit five of his points in a 9-9 even stretch.
  • It then became the Core'von Lott show as the senior guard scored all 10 of Keiser's points in a 10-3 run to put KU ahead 71-48 with just under nine minutes to play.
  • The Conquistadors would not go quietly as they bounced back with an 11-0 run to cut the Seahawks' lead down to 71-59.
  • Keiser would hunker down on defense and go six-of-six from the free throw line down the stretch to earn an 81-66 win.
