Keiser men's basketball did just enough to get their biggest win of the year on the road as they outlasted the Ave Maria Gyrenes 80-77 Thursday night.

Brandon Younger took over the game down the stretch, hitting a go-ahead three-pointer with 1:54 remaining before sinking two free-throws at the 19-second mark to put the Seahawks ahead 79-74.

AMU 41, Keiser 39
- Ave Maria came out firing at the start of the game, jumping out to an 8-2 run early.
- The Seahawks would answer with an 8-3 run of their own, cutting the Gyrenes lead to one point with less than five minutes elapsed in the first half.
- Following a Core'von Lott jumper to tie the game at 13, the two sides combined six-for-six in six straight possessions with AMU ending the run with a 21-20 lead.
- The Gyrenes continued to attack, going on an 8-4 run that gave them a five-point advantage with 6:12 left in the first.
- KU used the next three minutes to edge out a 10-6 run before a Justin Tucker floater tied the game a 36-36 with 1:29 showing.
- Ave Maria had a 5-0 run going into the break but a Brandon Farmer three-pointer at the buzzer cut the Gyrenes lead to two as they hit the break.
Keiser 80, AMU 77
- Ave Maria began the second half in a similar fashion to the first with an early 8-4 run to extend the lead for AMU.
- The Seahawks responded with a 12-3 lead as Farmer continued to heat up with his 18th point of the night that gave Keiser their first lead of the night, 55-52.
- Both sides would take turns with the lead before another Farmer three-pointer put KU up four with 9:09 left in the game.
- Jonathan Effertz scored the next five for AMU before Younger silenced the run keeping Keiser ahead 68-64 with 6:40 on the clock.
- Ave Maria made up the deficit over the next two minutes, tying the game at 68-68 at the 4:21 mark.
- Both sides would go back and forth before a long-range three from Younger gave the Seahawks the lead with 1:44 left to play.
- Sloppy play down the stretch from both sides ended with Younger at the line who hit both of his free throws to put Keiser ahead 79-74 with just 19 seconds to play.
- Following a Jonathan Effertz three-pointer, DaQuan Williams hit one of two shots at the line to give the Seahawks a three-point lead.
- Miles Monchecourt would have the final shot of the game in the corner but his three-pointer would sail wide, leaving the Seahawks with the 80-77 win.

- Keiser snaps a three-game losing streak to the Gyrenes, improving to 25-5 all-time.
- It was the first win at Donahue Gym for the Seahawks as AMU has won the previous three games on their home floor.
- With the win, Keiser now sits in third place in the Sun Conference standings behind Webber International and Thomas.
- The Seahawks extended their winning streak to four games with the win, now holding a 12-6 overall record.
- Brandon Farmer continues to lead off of the bench, providing a team-best 21 points on the night.
- Justin Tucker finished just behind with 18 points and a share of the team-high eight rebounds.
- Brandon Younger shared the rebounding lead with eight while contributing 15Â points in the game.
- Keiser turned the ball over just nine times in the game, the second-lowest total on the year for the team.
