Justin Tucker's seventh double-double of the season wasn't enough on Thursday as Keiser men's basketball fell to Florida Memorial on the road, 82-62.

Rod Boggan shifted the momentum in favor of the Lions with an and-1 layup at the 7:17 mark that led to a 19-4 run for FMU.
 
 
How it Happened


First Half
Florida Memorial 37, Keiser 29
  • Both teams got off to hot starts but it was the Lions taking advantage early with back-to-back layups to cap a 9-6 start.
  • Keiser answered with a 6-2 run to take the lead as Justin Tucker got going with just under five minutes gone in the first half.
  • Consecutive three-pointers for Core'von Lott and Brandon Farmer gave KU an 18-15 lead with 13:47 to play.
  • Florida Memorial began to make their move in the game, grinding out a 12-2 run of their own to take a 27-20 lead with 7:43 on the clock.
  • With 6:28 remaining in the first, Tucker flushed a ball home to kick off a 7-4 run in favor of the Seahawks.
  • FMU would respond with a 6-2 run to end the half, holding a 37-29 lead going into the break.

Second Half
Florida Memorial 82, Keiser 62
  • Keiser surged into the second half with a 15-7 run to tie the game as Tucker made his 14th point of the night.
  • Two more layups from Brandon Younger would extend the Keiser lead to four before back-to-back threes from FMU gave the lead back to the Lions with 11:01 remaining.
  • Florida Memorial would answer each of the Keiser baskets to hold a slight lead throughout the second before a Tucker layup brought the Seahawks within one at the 7:45 mark, 59-58.
  • Rod Boggan would do his part for the Lions, scoring on his and-1 opportunity that sparked a 6-4 run for FMU.
  • It was all Florida Memorial from there as the Lions put together a 13-0 stretch over the next three minutes that left the score at 78-62 with 1:18 to play.
  • FMU would slow the pace of their offense and take home their second conference win of the season, 82-63.

  • The Seahawks will have to wait for their 30th win of the series as it moves to 29-8 over the Lions.
