The No. 2 ranked Keiser University women's tennis team will begin their spring season with the top-ranked Division II Barry Buccaneers on Wednesday in Miami Shores, Florida at 2:00 p.m.
 
About the Seahawks

• The Seahawks come into the first match of the year after a strong fall season that places five in the ITA Top-25 ranking.
• Violet Apisah leads the team at No. 1 followed by Yvette Schmucker at No. 2, No. 11 Isabella Perez Flores, No. 18 Vanja Vidanovic, and No. 37 Florencia Araya.
• Keiser will also be joined by a trio of newcomers looking to find their way into the lineup as Elyse Lavender, Anna Hinka, and Ksenija Vujacic all join the squad.

Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "Excited to get everything started tomorrow. After having a very strong fall and adding a few new faces, I'm definitely excited to see how we will go out tomorrow and perform against one of the best small college teams in the country. Without a doubt, tomorrow will bring several opportunities and tests. Safe to say, it should be a battle throughout."

Last Meeting: The Buccaneers defeated the Seahawks 4-0 on March 31, 2022.
Scouting the Buccaneers: The five-time defending NCAA Division II National Champions return a mix of new and returning players, the Buccaneers will be led once again by Deniz Khazan who ended fall play as the No. 1 player ranked by the NAIA. Daniela Farfan also ranks in the top 25 of the ITA rankings coming in at No. 21. Farfan and Nathalia Gasparin rank fifth in the doubles for BU.
