How it Happened

First Half
Keiser 38, CCGA 31
  • Keiser was off and running early, jumping out to a 7-2 lead with buckets from Brandon Younger, Shaquille Harris, and DaQuan Williams to start the game.
  • The Seahawks nearly mirrored the run over the next two minutes with Core'von Lott and Justin Tucker getting on the scorers' sheet as KU took the 13-4 lead at the 12:54 mark.
  • Coastal Georgia began to climb back into the game with a 10-5 run before Younger hit his second three-pointer of the night to keep Keiser in front by seven.
  • Christian Miller-Cardwell followed the run with a steal before Younger found Williams for a breakaway dunk.
  • The Mariners continued to inch closer, scoring 13 of the next 21 points to bring the Seahawks' lead down to just four points with two minutes left in the first.
  • Keiser would respond with the advantage in the final minutes as a Miller-Cardwell layup from Sinai Enoch put KU up 38-31 at the break.

Second Half
Keiser 79, CCGA 67
  • The Seahawks came out of the half on fire, scoring the first seven points in just over a minute of game time.
  • Following a CCGA jumper, a layup from Tucker kicked off another Seahawk run to put KU ahead by 20 with 14:25 on the clock.
  • Coastal Georgia would not go quietly as Nick Jiles kept the Mariners in the game all night long with four more points in a three-minute span.
  • A dunk from Harris at the 8:10 mark gave Keiser their largest lead of the night at 22 points and capped a 9-2 run.
  • The Mariners continued to fight back but an alley-oop dunk by Tucker from Williams stopped the CCGA run and had Keiser ahead 70-49.
  • Coastal Georgia made one last push, racking up a 16-5 run to make it a 10-point game with 2:23 on the clock.
  • However, the clock management from the Seahawks made the comeback unfeasible as Keiser rode out the final two minutes and earned another big conference win on the road.
