The Sun Conference announced the 2023 Preseason Women's Tennis Coaches Poll on Tuesday morning, with Keiser being selected to finish first.
Top of the League
- The 2022 Regular Season and Tournament Sun Champions, Keiser topped the poll with 36 total points, including six first-place votes
- SCAD Savannah came in second with 29 total points to go along with one first-place vote.
A look Back at Last Season
- KU ended the 2022 season with an 18-5 overall record with a perfect 6-0 record in conference play.
- For a fifth straight year, the Seahawks finished undefeated in the SUN and entered the Tournament as the No. 1 seed, going on to win their sixth Sun Conference Tournament Title.
- Keiser is off to a strong start after a highly successful fall season that saw Violet Apisah claiming the program's first ITA Cup Women's Singles National Championship and becoming the first Keiser women's tennis player ranked No. 1 by the ITA.
- Joining the No. 1 overall ranked Apisah on the squad this season will be No. 2 Yvette Schmucker, No. 11 Isabella Perez Flores, No. 18 Vanja Vidanovic, and No. 37 Florencia Araya.
- KU will have two top-5 doubles teams to start the season with Apisah and Schmucker claiming the No. 3 spot and Perez Flores and Araya just behind at No. 5.
