Despite a combined 44 points by Kennedy Schalbach and
Elise Ellison-Coons, the Keiser women's basketball team fell to the Southeastern Fire, 75-69, on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday's game was the Seahawk's annual We Back Game, honoring the late Coach Pat Summitt who passed away from Alzheimer's disease in June 2016. As part of the game, Keiser partnered with The Pat Summitt Foundation to raise funds to fight to end Alzheimer's.
In the final 2:36 of the game, the Seahawks were held without made basket to close out the contest as SEU held on for the win.

Keiser 17, Southeastern 13
- SEU's Gabby Suarez got the scoring started with a layup at 8:17 mark.
- Keiser went on a 7-0 run capped off with a bucket by Shykim Gillion with 6:42 left in the first.
- Elise Ellison-Coons added two more points with a pair of made free-throws at the 5:36 mark (9-2).
- The Fire used a 5-0 run to cut Keiser's lead to 9-7 (4:34).
- Gillion drained her second basketball of the game to give KU a 12-7 lead (3:20).
- A 3-pointer by SEU's Anja Knoflach made it a 12-10 game (2:15).
- Another 3-pointer by the Fire with 1:26 on the clock gave the Fire a 13-12 lead.
- Julia Fitzwater regained the lead for the Seahawks with a long-range shot, 15-13 (1:05).

- The Seahawks scored four quick points to start the quarter, forcing the Fire to call an early timeout (9:09).
- After an SEU layup, Ellison-Coons scored her eighth point with a made layup at the 8:21 mark (23-15).
- Kennedy Schlabach drained a 3-pointer with 6:43 left in the half to give KU a 26-15 lead.
- The Fire made it 26-18 following a three-point play at the 6:34 mark.
- SEU extended its run to 8-0 following a second three-point play.
- Fitzwater ended the Seahawk's drought with her second 3-pointer of the game, 29-23.
- A 3-pointer by Knoflach cut Keiser's lead to 29-28 with 2:47 left in the half.
- Schlabach responded with a 3-pointer of her own to make the score 32-28 (2:27).
- Suarez converted a layup to pull the Fire within two, 32-30 (1:32).
- Schlabach hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Seahawks a 35-30 lead at the half.

- The Fire scored four straight to start the half, cutting the Seahawk lead to 35-34 (9:37).
- Ellison-Coons scored the first of the half on an assists by Elliana Schaefer, 37-34 (7:52).
- Knoflach made it a one-point game again with a made jumper (7:10).
- Ellison-Coon knocked down her second straight bucket (again assisted by Schaefer) to give the Seahawks a 39-36 lead.
- A 3-pointer by SEU's Emilia Sexton tied the game at 39-39.
- Ellison-Coons converted the "And-1" to give Keiser a 44-41 lead (4:36).
- SEU countered with a 3-pointer to tie the game, 44-44 (4:25).
- The Fire scored back-to-back buckets to take a 48-44 lead (2:12).
- Fitzwater hit her third triple to cut the deficit to one, 48-47 (1:50).

- Schaefer gave Keiser a 52-50 lead with a made jumper from the right wing with 9:34 on the game clock.
- A layup by SEU's Knoflach tied the game at 52-52 (9:08).
- Kiki Britzmann gave the Fire a 54-52 lead with a made layup (7:54).
- Schlabach made two at the line to make it a 54-54 game (7:28).
- After a layup gave SEU the lead, Schlabach hit a 3-pointer to give KU a 57-56 lead (6:45).
- After each team exchanged buckets, SEU hit a 3-pointer to take a 61-59 lead with 5:50 left to play.
- Ellison-Coons tied the game at 61-61 on a put-back bucket with 5:09 on the game clock,
