No. 1 women's soccer was off and running again on Thursday, using six first-half goals to push past Brewton-Parker 7-1. Oline Sundgot, Viki Adam, Julia Forslund, and Ellen Maund all captured their first goals of the season.

How it Happened
  • Just over 60 seconds into the game, Seira Uko chipped a ball into the box that found Chelsie Hay who slotted it into the right side of the net to give the Seahawks a 1-0 advantage.
  • In the 7th minute, a through pass from Oline Sundgot found Kyoka Koshijima in the box who laid the ball off to Viki Adam. Adam needed just one touch to strike the ball into the back of the net and give Keiser the 2-0 lead.
  • A controversial decision caught the Seahawks off guard in the 10th minute which was just enough for the Barons to score the first goal against the Seahawks all season.
  • Keiser would be unfazed as Hay took advantage of a handball, playing it forward to Sundgot who would score her first goal of the season at the 21st minute, putting KU ahead 3-1.
  • Two minutes later, Julia Forslund would score her first goal of the season with a right-footed shot to the lower left netting.
  • The Keiser attack continued in the 26th minute when Ramona Kannady played a ball across the box, connecting with the right foot of Ellen Maund as they danced to a 5-1 lead.
  • Kannady would have a magic touch again in the 31st minute when she found Lauren Riley at the back post who made it a 6-1 game.
  • The Seahawks forced out four more saves by the Barons keeper before the half would hit with Keiser still leading 6-1.
  • Keiser's attack continued into the second half as Linnea Andreason's chance hit the crossbar in the 62nd minute.
  • Following a misplay on the Brewton-Parker back line in the 79th minute, Gabby Schlabach collected a loose ball and found Sundgot who easily placed the ball in the net for her second of the afternoon.
  • Keiser would hold on to the lead, outshooting their opponents 43-3 en route to a 7-1 win over the Barons.
