Box Score Keiser women's tennis claimed both ITA Regional Championships on Sunday in Boca Raton. The Seahawks finished the tournament with a combined record of 19-1 against non-Keiser opponents in both singles and doubles matches.

It was nearly all Keiser all day as the Seahawks held five of the six possible open spots heading into Sunday. In singles, Violet Apisah bested Yu Yue of SCAD Savannah 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinal to guarantee another Keiser champion. Isabella Perez Flores continued her run as the seven-seed on the opposite side of the bracket, defeating her teammate, Yvette Schmucker 6-3, 6-4. The final would belong to Apisah as she took down Perez Flores to become the fourth ITA Regional Singles Champion in program history. Similar faces would be found in the doubles final as Schmucker and Apisah would be matched up against Perez Flores and Florencia Araya. After a 6-2 first set in favor of the top-seeded side, Perez Flores and Araya would challenge their teammates for the first time all tournament, taking the second set 6-3. The super tiebreak brought excitement from both sides as Apisah and Schmucker outlasted their counterparts to take the match 6-2, 3-6, 10-6 earning the Seahawks their third consecutive ITA Regional Doubles Title.




Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "What a performance by the girls. Not only winning every single flight but having all-Keiser in both flights was a huge statement for them. The was one of the strongest fields that our ITA Regionals has had in quite a few years and I believe that our girls did a great job of navigating through the draw and getting stronger day by day. You could definitely see our level of tennis rising as the matches went on and it was even more evident today. I'm proud of our efforts and the resiliency that the girls continue to show throughout their matches regardless of the circumstances. Now we can take a few days to enjoy and recover before we get back to work and prepare for the ITA Cup in Rome."
