Keiser women's tennis wrapped up their second day at the ITA Regionals in Boca Raton, Fla. with another strong showing. The Seahawks went 7-2 in singles play and 2-0 on the doubles side.

Another strong day for the girls was led by Violet Apisah as the No. 1 seed in the singles and doubles draw. Apisah began her day partnering with Yvette Schmucker in doubles to achieve an 8-3 win over Tonito and Navarro of St. Thomas. Showing little fatigue, Apisah dominated her first singles match against Vitoria Barandas of Ave Maria by a score of 6-0, 6-1. She was then matched against the No. 8 seed from Southeastern who jumped out to a 4-0 advantage in the first set. Apisah would bounce back to win the next 12 games and the match by a score of 6-4, 6-0.



Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "Happy with the performance today. It's been a long two days and the ladies are competing well. To have everyone still in doubles for the moment and three of the four semifinalists in singles obviously talks about how we played today. With that said, we still have to get back out there tomorrow and do it again."
