Head Coach Mat Dunn captured the 200th win of his career on Thursday as the No. 1 ranked Seahawks defeated the No. 23 ranked Grizzlies 4-0 in Orange Beach, Ala. Four different players got on the scoring sheet for the Seahawks with Seira Uko and Ina Timmermann notching their first goals of the season.

How it Happened
  • Staying true to the Dunny way, the Seahawks pressured the Grizzlies early, scoring on a Ramona Kannady cross that found Seira Uko in the box who shot a ball that ricocheted off the post and into the net.
  • In the 12th minute, Grace McClellan launched a ball upfield that aligned perfectly with the run of Maja Lundman who chipped the keeper to make it a 2-0 game.
  • Just over 19 minutes into the contest, it was Uko who found space and centered a cross to Kyoka Koshijima who was able to guide it into the right side of the net to push the KU lead to 3-0.
  • The Seahawks were awarded a free kick just inside the GGC half in the 38th minute that Ina Timmermann stepped up to take. She sent the ball towards the net and got a fortunate bounce as it went right above the Grizzlies keeper for Keiser's fourth goal of the game.
  • Keiser would put five shots on goal in the half to Georgia Gwinnett's one as the Seahawks led 4-0 going into the break.
  • McClellan would be tested in the 53rd minute when the Grizzlies had a free kick go off the wall of Keiser defenders before McClellan touched it over the bar.
  • Koshijima nearly doubled her goals in the 64th minute when her free kick hit off the post.
  • The Seahawks would pile on a few more shots to finish the game with a 14-4 overall advantage and the 4-0 win.
