The Keiser women's basketball team dropped a 59-53 decision at Webber International on Thursday evening. 

Angela Denis and Shykim Gillion combined for 24 points in the road loss.

A 13-2 by the Warriors to start the fourth quarter put the home team ahead by 19 with 3:08 left to play. 
 
 
How it Happened


First Quarter
Webber International 13, Keiser 11
  • Shykim Gillion drained a 3-pointer to give the Seahawks a 3-2 lead with 8:07 left in the quarter.
  • Taylor Jones extended the Keiser lead to 5-2 following a made jumper at the 7:29 on the clock.
  • The Warriors went on a 7-0 run to take a 9-5 lead with 5:20 on the clock.
  • A pair of made free throws by Samantha Pacheco gave the Warriors a 13-7 advantage with 2:30 remaining.
  • A 4-0 run by the Seahawks drew Keiser to within two, 13-11, to close out the quarter.

Second Quarter
Keiser 29, Webber International 26
  • Gillion tied the game, 13-13, with the quarter's first bucket at the 8:39 mark.
  • Both team's exchanged buckets before De Virgilio gave the Seahawks a 17-15 lead with 7:05 left in the half. 
  • The game saw four ties over the next six minutes.
  • Kaitlyn Fertig gave KU a 23-22 lead with a made free throw (1:35).
  • Dasia Wandick gave WIU the lead, 24-23, with a made layup at the 1:14 mark.
  • Julia Fitzwater responded for the Seahawks with a layup to give KU a 25-24 lead (1:03).
  • KU maintained its lead to close out the half up, 29-26. 

Third Quarter
Keiser 40, Webber International 39
  • After the lead exchanged hands twice in the first five minutes of the quarter, tow made free throws pushed KU's lead to three, 35-32, with 4:25 left in the quarter.
  • WIU regained the lead, 39-37 with a layup by Pacheco with 2:22 on the clock.
  • Denis gave the Seahawks a 40-39 lead with an "and-one" with 1:13 on the game clock.

Fourth Quarter
Webber International 59, Keiser 53
  • The Warriors used a 13-2 run to take a 10-point lead with 3:08 left in the game.
  • A trey by Julia Fitzwater cut the Warrior lead to four, 57-53, with 00:34 remaining in the game.
  • Amaya Small scored the final bucket of the game, with a layup with 19 second on the clock to give WIU a 59-53 lead.

  • With the loss, Keiser drops to 17-17 all-time against versus the Warriors.
