- Thomas had the first big chance of the game as a shot from Sasha Manders bounced off the crossbar less than 30 seconds into the game.
- From there, the Seahawks would take possession and fire off three shots in four minutes still early in the contest.
- In the 11th minute, a cross from Maja Henriksson would find Ramona Kannady in the box. Kannady would have her first shot blocked but collect the rebound and slot the second shot into the right side of the net to put KU up 1-0.
- The relentless attacks from Keiser would continue as KU would force four saves out of the Thomas goalie, Emily Lamoreaux before the 27th minute.
- In the 42nd minute, Henriksson would dribble past multiple defenders but have her shot blocked by Lamoreaux.
- Keiser would head to the half with a shot advantage of 13-2, 6-1 on goal.
- The Seahawks began the second half with consecutive crosses that just missed their targets but set the stage for the last 45 minutes.
- Kannady would find the back of the net in the 55th minute but an offsides call would wipe it off the board.
- A free-kick in a favorable position allowed a shot from Henriksson in the 57th minute but Lamoreaux would save the shot with a diving stop.
- In the 61st minute, Marthe Taugbøl would put Henriksson through before her cross found Kannady in the box who rocketed a shot past the keeper to put Keiser ahead 2-0.
- Keiser would score again in the 78th minute on their ninth corner kick of the game as Henriksson found Ina Timmermann in the box who guided her second goal of the season into the net to make it a 3-0 game.
- The Seahawks would earn their 14th shutout of the season as the clock wound down to zero and secure a spot in the Sun Conference Championship Match
- Keiser moved to 18-0-1 on the season and 20-6-3 in the Sun Conference Postseason.
- KU is now 2-0 all-time against the Night Hawks in Sun Conference Postseason play.
- The Seahawks advanced to their 13th Sun Conference Championship holding a 6-3-3 record all-time.
