No. 1 women's soccer used a strong second half to wrap up their undefeated season on Thursday in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Marthe Taugbøl scored her first goal of the season to break the stalemate before goals from
Kyoka Koshijima and
Maja Henriksson gave the Seahawks insurance in their 3-0 win.
- Keiser jumped on the offense early, forcing back-to-back saves from the Royals' goalie.
- In the 12th minute, Julia Forslund forced out another save in front of net following a corner kick.
- Maja Henriksson scored in the 15th minute but the goal was wiped out due to an offsides call.
- The offense would continue to surge forward, peppering the Warner keeper with five shots on goal, nine total shots in the first half.
- After making some second-half adjustments, the Seahawks were once again battling forward, looking for their first goal.
- It would come in the 58th minute, as Marthe Taugbøl stepped up to take a free-kick from more than 40 yards out. Her shot was drilled into the back corner of the net and put Keiser up 1-0.
