The Keiser women's basketball team handed the (rv) Siena Heights its first home loss of the 2022-23 season with a 54-53 victory on Sunday. The game (as part of the Siena Height's Thanksgiving Classic) came down to the final possession as
Elise Ellison-Coons intercepted SHU's inbound pass as time expired.
Taylor Jones notched the first double-double of her career while recording a team-high two blocks.
Kennedy Schlabach led all Seahawks with 15 points and Ellison-Coons grabbed a team-high-tying 10 boards in the one-point victory.
With three seconds left in the clock and SHU with possession of the ball, sophomore
Elise Ellison-Coons intercepted the Saint's inbound attempt, sealing the one-point victory for the Seahawks.

Keiser 17, Siena Heights 16
- The Saints got the scoring started with a 3-pointer by Peyton Banks with 9:30 on the game clock.
- Keiser scored on back-to-back buckets to take an early 4-3 lead (8:50).
- The Seahawks pushed their lead to 10-5 following a layup by Elise Ellison-Coons with 5:56 remaining the quarter.
- SHU went on an 8-4 run to take a one-point lead, 13-12, with 1:33 on the clock.
- Elliana Schaefer drilled a 3-pointer to give the Seahawks a 15-13 lead (1:10).
- After a 3-pointer by the Saints, Schaefer responded with a jumper as time expired to give KU a 17-16 lead.

- After SHU tied the game on a made free-throw by Banks (17-17), Keiser went on a 7-0 run to take a 24-17 lead with 6:54 left in the half.
- Janiece Thomas made it a 27-19 game with a made jumper at the 4:14 mark.
- The Saints chipped away at the Seahawks lead, scoring six straight to cut the lead to 27-25.
- Thomas led all Seahawks with eight points in the half.
- Taylor Jones and Ellison-Coons each grabbed six rebounds for the Seahawks.

- The Seahawks used baskets by Jones (7:42) and Gillion (7:18) to take a 31-25 lead.
- A three-point play pulled the Saints to within three, 31-28, with 6:54 left in the third.
- After Kennedy Schlabach made 1-of-2 from the free-throw line, SHU went on a 5-0 run to take a 33-32 lead (4:37).
- Schlabach drained a 3-pointer as Keiser regained the lead, 35-33, with 3:10 left in the quarter.
- With 1:20 on the clock Schlabach hit her second straight trey to give the Seahawks a 38-33 edge.
- Both teams exchanged buckets as Keiser took a five-point lead heading into the final frame.

- Jones opened up the quarter's scoring with a made layup at the 9:49 mark, 42-35.
- Ellison-Coons gave the Seahawks their biggest lead of the game scoring on the put-back with 9:06 left in the game (44-35).
- SHU tied the game, 46-46, following a 3-pointer by Sha'kyia Parker (7:02).
- KU used a 7-0 run to take a 53-46 lead capped off by a pair of made free-throws by Ellison-Coons.
- The Saint's pulled within two, 53-51, after Parker nailed a shot from downtown with 2:17 left in the contest.
- Jones made 1-of-2 from the charity stripe to make it a three-point game (54-51) with nine ticks on the clock.
- SHU's Kayla Hinton made both of her free throws with five seconds left as Keiser led by one, 54-53.
- After grabbing the rebound off a missed free throw by the Seahawks, Siena Heights called timeout with three second remaining in regulation.
